I first wrote and arranged the songs back in 2007 Ron Rosenblum recorded and produced the album in 2008. Since working with producer and musician Misha Nikolic on my recent album, ‘Black Swan’, I realised how massively technology had changed since recording ‘Paranoid Rage’. My debut album needed remixing, remastering and added production elements. I re-worked the artwork too, making it a little darker, to reflect the shadow self and monsters I’d been fighting at the time.

‘Paranoid Rage’ embodies an emotional reaction to events, people and places. There are 11 remixed and remastered songs on the album in total, some dark, some not so dark, and one acoustic track (‘July 19th’). You could say the album’s title is fitting and self-explanatory, since the tumultuous state of mind I created it in had been fuelled entirely by paranoid rage and drama. Failed bands, broken relationships, depleted bank accounts it had all ended in turmoil. The phrase itself cropped up during a conversation with a colleague when I was working for Mencap as a support worker, when she told me an ex-boyfriend of hers had been full of ‘Paranoid Rage’. It immediately became my band name and later, my album title. Don’t we all have a little Paranoid Rage in us”¦

‘Paranoid Rage’ has been brought to life again, re-released into 2022. The songs are sounding amazing and I’m thrilled that you’re able to listen to not one, but two completed albums this year.
